I'm working my way through my stash! Here's a kit that I picked up a few years ago at my favorite Outer Banks yarn shop — @knittingaddiction. This is #SeaStarHandpaints in the Cape Hatteras and Brick-ish colorways. It's DK weight yarn, and I'm going to use US3 needles to make socks with it. I'll give it the contrasting heels and toes with the Brick-ish, and I'll make contrasting cuffs if there's enough. I'm looking forward to seeing how the black and white pools for the lighthouse. One of the exciting things about this kit is that it contains buried treasure! Tied to the main hank were a few charms. The kits were packaged and advertised to contain at least one charm — I got three: a shell, a seahorse, and a starfish. It's a fun surprise and a neat way to start a new project. #knitting #knittersofinstagram
